We have created an online health insurance quoting system for the New Mexico Health Insurance Alliance. Insurance agents that are certified with the alliance can log into a password protected area, enter data about their proposed clients such as date of birth, county, and gender, and then get health insurance rates from five different carriers. Agents can also print rate sheets for each carrier and each county. Rate updates used to be done manually and take many weeks. Now updates are done automatically in a few hours.

Custom Embosser Pro uses a blog to display customer comments. Customer comments are archived monthly, so new customers can view reviews from other customers over a long time period.

Acutonics uses their "Mothership Blog" for important announcements. Ellen announced the publication of a new book followed by the awards it received.

Albuquerque The Magazine uses its blog, "Favorite Things Friday", to give its readers a taste of fun things to do in the metropolitan area in the coming week.

Acutonics

We located, installed, configured and styled an open source calendar program for Acutonics. Acutonics has a back end admin interface that lets them add new classes to their class database. Each time a new class is scheduled, the class is automatically added by our custom software to the calendar.

Insight Lighting

The Insight Lighting website is designed to showcase Insight Lighting's beautiful products. Several of the pages - About, Press, Contact Us and Careers - are implemented in WordPress so that Insight Lighting staff can update those pages as needed.

Celebrating New Mexico Statehood

In 2012 New Mexico celebrated 100 years of statehood. The Celebrating New Mexico Statehood site was designed by a local firm with content provided by the client. Duke City Software implemented the design using the Drupal Content Management System to give the content the desired look and feel.

Shopping Cart Integration

This site was developed by another website development company. We added custom software that exports orders automatically each night and stores them in an SQL database. Now Personalized Paper Store staff can run sales reports for any time period whenever the data is required.

Shamrock Dental

Shamrock Dental stores the status of equipment in for repair locally at their shop. On a regular basis they upload an Excel spresheet with all the pertinent information. Software created by Duke City Software reads the Excel spreadsheet and stores the data in a database. Users can then access the status of their equipment through the website.

Insight Lighting

The Insight Lighting product catalog is stored in a database that is accessible to the website. Products and product families are created by an admin. The navigation updates automatically as new product families are created. Access to all product data - spec sheets, brochures, wiring diagrams, etc - is provided on dynamically created web pages. Each product has the capability for a video and other documents. Links are only created if the resources exist.

Dynamic menus do not affect the basic end user functionality of a site very much. Instead, they are a wonderful tool and technology that allows for easy and quick creation and editing of a website, especially when the site lists out a lot of content that belongs in a menu. We use dynamic menus on our site because our menus are perfect for this kind of application.

Acutonics offers users a chance to join their mailing list and receive email newsletters. We have integrated their mailing list form with Exact Target, so that when a user signs up, the email address and other data is automatically added to Exact Target.

As part of the checkout process, Custom Embosser Pro offers customers a chance to opt in to their mailing list and receive special offers. We have integrated their checkout page with Constant Contact, so that when a user signs up, the email address and other data is automatically added to Constant Contact.

Rio Soccer Club

Rio Soccer Club did not want its coaches and administrators to get a lot of spam from having their email addresses on its site. We implemented a method of defeating spammers while allowing emails to be on the website. This method is called email obfuscation.

The Summer Food New Mexico site was designed by Sandman Design. We developed custom software that stores and displays free food sites for hungry New Mexico children. The sites are integrated with Google maps and are updated several times each summer. A user can type in a zip code and see a map of all nearby sites.

This company had an existing website and asked us to add search engine friendly URLs for them. We turned URLs that looked like www.printpps.com/product_landing.php?category_id=17 into URLs that look like www.printpps.com/stickynotes. This is much more human readable and much better for organic search engine placement.

This can be used to allow people to access your site more efficiently and effortlessly as well as letting search engines, like Google, have better access to your site to increase your position in internet searches.

NMHIA needed to be able to let their agents and clients search through a number of pages and documents to better meet their needs. In order to efficiently meet this demand, we implemented a commercial searching program and customized it to make the design better match the rest of the site.
